Two years after its release on August 18 2020 Microsoft announced on June 12, 2022, a “40th Anniversary edition.” Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 has its roots back in the early Apple Mac days of the 80’s almost 40 years ago.
For this Anniversary edition, Microsoft included helicopters, the historical Wright Flyer, the Spirit of Saint Louis, a Douglas DC-3, and an Airbus A310. The update is free, and it will be released on November 2022 for all platforms (PX, XBOX, Cloud).
Speaking of XBOX, its fans will rejoice with the announcement of the HALO aircraft.
Here at Pulsar Technology as early fans and users of the early simulator, we are excited to see this exponential transformation of the product by Microsoft and Asobo Studio.
And as enthusiasts of aviation, aircraft, and anything that flies, or attempts to, we wish the new FS2020 40th Anniversary Edition clear skies!
